If you need to give account access to someone – a new team member or a third party supplier – it is much better to give them their own direct access using the methods shown here than to share your credentials with them. Setting them up as their own user means you can delete them later, control specifically what level of access they have, and have an audit trail of who has done what. How to add a new user to Google Analytics
- Go toย https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/ย and log into your account
- Click on the admin cog in the bottom left hand corner
- Select โAccount access managementโ from the โAccount options in the middle of the page
- Click the blue plus button in the top right hand corner
- Select โadd usersโ
- Enter the email address of the person you want to add (it must be an email that is associated with a Google account)
- Select the role that you want them to haveย
- Click โAddโ in the top right hand corner
How to add a new user to Google Search Console
- Go toย https://search.google.com/search-console/aboutย and click โstart nowโ
- Click โsettings towards the bottom of the menu on the left of the screen
- Click โusers and permissionsโ in the middle of the screen
- Click the blue โadd userโ button
- Enter the email address of the person you want to add
- Set the level of permission you want them to have
- Click add
How to add a new user to Google Ads
- Go toย https://ads.google.com/home/ย and log into your account
- Click on โadminโ at the bottom of the menu down the left hand side
- Select โaccess and securityโ ย ย ย ย
- Click the blue plus button
- Enter the email address of the person you want to add
- Tick the top of the column that represents the level of access you want them to have
